ABOUT ME
I'm incessantly curious... to the point of detriment, actually. I will follow any thread to its end, EVEN IF I know I won't exactly be happy with what I find. (My best friends say this is my finest and worst quality.) Anyway, since graduating from college I've just been wandering around. For a while, this wandering was within the US, but eventually I made my way out into the big, wide world beyond... I have a wicked and, at times, disturbingly inappropriate sense of humor. I get really quiet sometimes. I meditate. I like tea. I like thinking.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a devourer of media. Lately, I've rekindled my passion for reading and am working through the Ender series by Orson Scott Card. Prior to this, I read "The Life of Pi," "In Cold Blood," Jeanette Winterson's "The Passion," Kafka's "The Metamorphosis," Albert Camus' "The Outsider," and "To Kill a Mockingbird." I've developed a love for Oscar Wilde and Edith Wharton. I have an affinity for the Russians (Bulgakov, Zamyatin, Dostoevsky, Nabokov, Chekhov...) and Milan Kundera. I love the dystopian stuff (particularly "Brave New World"). I could go on forever about film, as it was also a huge part of my formal education, but I'll just say I like foreign films, documentaries and dramas. Music-wise, again, there is not room enough. But I'm primarily interested in electronic, classical and jazz.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 10 days meditating (Vipassana) in Igatpuri, India. This was my first trip to India... and... it's difficult to make people understand... but have you ever heard the phrase or idea "facing oneself?" As in, we face down our demons or our darkest fears, etc.? Well... I DID that in India. It was the most terrifying experience of my life. And I can not WAIT to go back to that country.
