ABOUT ME

born in Germany I immigrated to New Zealand when I was 20 years old in search for " The Good Life "
Never regretted that move. I am very content here. Married a Kiwi, Lilian. We have two grown up kids Michael(28) and Teresa(26).
“Beauty in the natural environment is everywhere. My work often contains natural elements: stone, shells, natural edged timbers etc, highlighting and juxtaposing the touched and the untouched, culture and nature.”
“I believe we humans have to take stock, and realize /acknowledge our intimate relationship with Nature. Our very existence/ survival is linked to a ‘functional, healthy environment’; we are not apart or separate from it. An independent existence… is a modern illusion that has lead us to rape and pillage the environment.”
“At the deepest level I long for an awakening of mankind, a harmonizing of Man and Nature. That is a tall order. But to make a positive contribution to this end whether through my work or other wise is an important aspect of my life.”

PHILOSOPHY

participate in the evolution of conciousness,
to recognise that all things arise and pass away again,
to live fully in the moment, the means are as important as the end.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first real couchSurfing experience in Syria when my van broke down in the middle of the dessert. Some Beduin people took me into their tent, gave up their goat/sheep skin for me to spent the night on...I never forget that. Looking forward to what ever is around the corner.
