About Me

I am a very easy going person who loves to meet people from all walks of life and share experiences and perspectives. My main motivation for travelling is connection with people. Places are amazing but all of my most treasured memories are about the people. Places are empty without people, and happiness is nothing if not shared.

I am a very empathetic person and absolutely love talking about anything that inspires someone. I value kindness and passion above all things.
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return"

As a philosophy I think everyone should make as much art as possible with the short beautiful time we are given. We lack adequate images to begin to express our hidden inner worlds.

I am a musician and producer. I am deeply passionate about all kinds of music. Music is such a beautiful metaphor for life. To say that which is beyond words. Music saves. I travel with a small humble setup consisting of a mini midi keyboard and a launchpad. I would always be so happy to share what I know about production. Or just share a love for music.

I have also been a professional chef for a really long time and have worked in some amazing remote locations in Africa such as safari camps out in the wilderness. I love food and am always happy to share my knowledge and stories.

I love volunteering in hostels and backpackers. Having worked so long in hospitality I am good at it and I enjoy giving guests what they need and making their time memorable.

I tend to put a lot of trust in the universe that somehow everything is going to be ok. Better to go with the current instead of struggling against it. I also believe in trusting people.

One of my favorite quotes is from whinnie the poo:
"how lucky I am to have something which makes saying goodbye so hard"
This has brought me so much gratitude.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of sincere connection and sharing of culture between people of vastly different backgrounds. Through couch surfing I want to learn more about the places I visit and the people who live there. I travel to explore people and create memories for a life well lived. Human connection is what I value most of all. Life is musical in nature and I am trying to learn to play my part.

Interests

I love outdoors and nature. It's a truly beautiful world. However I also love people and all the life that comes with a city.

Video games were always a big part of my life and I'm so grateful for the experiences they have provided me. I'm very interested in anything tech related and how much it will continue to shape our world. I run my own servers for various services like email and vpn. I believe in open source and the importance of privacy.

Love chess and philosophy. The universe is like a chess board. The game was perfect before any move was made.

I can talk to anyone about anything and get carried away. The game of language is incredible.
