About Me

This February I finished a 9 month long road trip that began in Miami, FL, where I lived since 1990. My plan was to stay in Austin, Texas on the way back, I was there last summer and fell in love with the place, unfortunately my brother got sick and I had to come back to Florida to help him out, so now I'm living in St. Pete. It's a cool town and I want to explore it and meet it's people.
I'm easy going and laid back but very clean, organized, respectful and considerate and expect the same from guests. I love live music, good food, beer, wine, conversation and making new friends. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met a lot of great hosts during my trip and would like to pay it forward now that I can, plus it's a cool way to meet people and make new friends.

Interests

I've been a music lover from a very young age. My brother introduced me to classic rock when I was little and I loved it immediately. From then my mind opened to all types except for a few including reggeton and what they call hip-hop nowadays (I feel like an old fart saying that but I just can't get into it). I play drums and percussion and like singing as well, just for fun.

I'm good at fixing and making stuff. When I was a kid my Mom hated buying me toys because she knew that I was going to take them apart to see how they worked, but eventually I figured out how to put them back together and make them work again and sometimes I would even turn them into something else altogether. My father died when I was little and one of the few things he left behind was a watch repair kit with a bunch of little screwdrivers that I still own and use to this day. I've assembled 4 motorcycle kits and rebuilt one, remodeled several houses and patented one of my many ideas plus I'm currently working on an advertising startup.

Music, Movies, and Books

Radiohead, The Beatles, Mos Def, Atmosphere, Man Bites Dog, City of Lost Children, The General in His Labyrinth, The Art of War, too many more to list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

9 month, 10 state, 20 city solo road trip May 2018 to Feb 2019. Made a lot of new friends and got to see parts of the country I hadn't seen before and revisit a few I had. All while working the gig economy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach anyone how to fix stuff, program a vcr, make your toilet finally flush without having to hold the handle or jiggle it to stop wasting water, change your oil and a flat tire in under 30 minutes each.

I want to learn several languages including German, Portuguese, French, Russian, Mandarin, Japanese and Italian.

I can share the knowledge I have acquired in life and relationships and the experiences I've had so far.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good conversation, peace of mind knowing that you have a good person in your home, real estate advice, and I'm very handy and helpful.
