ABOUT ME
I am an open, positive and happy person and I love to meet new people and learn about other cultures, foods and music.

I am retired since February 2013. I was 30 years a teacher for children with special educational needs. This work I have done with a lot of love and engagement.

I started my first longer bike trip as a pensioner from Germany (Island Usedom), through Poland, the Baltic States, Russia (St. Petersburg) to Helsinki in 2013, my second cycle tour accros to England and a part of south Scotland in 2015. In 2017 I cycled through Ireland and Northern Ireland and in 2019 I cycled through southern Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. All my travels were great and beautiful. I meet a lot of friendly, very open poeple and I visited very different countries and landscapes. Now I`m looking forward to discover Austria, Slovenia and Croatia.

I like the philosofy of CS, so I offer my couch in CS. I try to make my own positive contribution to the world. I like to meet people.

So far all of my meetings with people from couchsurfing have been positive and my experiences have been good.

Interests

Reading, listening to music (jazz) and play African drum, cycling, traveling, cooking, Yoga, hiking, get to know new people, short und long trips by bike, being creative and do-it-yourself home improvement.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A hot air balloon ride over the Hanover area. I was impressed by the beauty and diversity of the landscape and the passing clouds.
During my travels through different European countries I had very beautiful, enriching, helpful and open encounters.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share travel experiences, information about my famous places and talking about my hobbies and my former profession. Sometimes I can cook some very good vegetarian food.
