About Me

¡Hola, soy Bianca!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE 2024: I’m traveling in SA until April, so I can’t host. If you use couchsurfing like a dating up, please walk away, we won’t be vibing together, ain’t my thing. ---------------------------------------------

Ciao mondo! I’m Bianca! 25-year-old, been living abroad between Scotland, Finland, Usa, Italy and Egypt for the past 4 years, originally from Italy. Now Travelling in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Argentina.

About me? I've been working as a chocolate tour guide in Edinburgh for the past 3 years—yes, I'm basically a cocoa connoisseur. I'm a people-person and I thrive on connecting with new faces. I thrive in community that support each other, A sucker for sisterhood and deep friendship. I've got a knack for cracking jokes, and rumor has it I've got a killer sense of humor—occasionally do stand up when i feel brave enough.

Obsessed with Billie Eilish, definitely a foodie, always up for a culinary adventure. Cooking is a work in progress, but hey, my love language is delicious food—cook for me, and we're instant besties! I do have a couple of nice receipes that i think more people should know and of course: PIZZA!

I'm a wanderlust-fueled traveler aiming to live my life to the fullest, experiencing the freedom that the mother of my mothers couldn't experience, but I can! Atlanta was my home for 16 months, and despite the challenges, it was one of best year of my life (so far). It's really helped me to come out of my shell. That's where I learned English and picked up a questionable American Accent who then turned into a British/Scottish accent—I don't love it, so be nice, or I might shed a tear.

In the USA, I braved challenges, met incredible people through Couchsurfing, and emerged stronger. I'm a curious, respectful, funny, outgoing, clean, adventurous, and a touch stubborn human being. I dabble in volleyball (okay, I suck, but it's fun), recently tried yoga (surprisingly grounding), and I sometimes meditate when anxiety creeps in. I love hiking to hidden gems where not many people go as it makes me value myself and the world around me. Yet, I'm also a self-proclaimed couch potato and enjoy a nice night IN.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

¡Salud!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been a host on CS and a guest and know firsthand the impact hosts make on a city. Trusting my hosts is usually the way to go; locals make the best guides (expat even better sometimes, as they were tourist before becoming locals). YES to the tips that make you save money on your day to day life!

I'm all about people and the stories they bring to the table. Let's chat, share, and soak up each other's experiences—it's a two-way street of learning.

I'm no stranger to solo adventures; I love doing my own thing, charting my course. Yet, when I travel, I crave the real flavor of a place—the local vibe, the authentic stories, the words only locals know, the traditions that make a place tick. To me couchsurfing allows me to get to know the reality of living in a place with its pros and cons. .

Now, being Italian, I come with some culinary pride. I'm not a food dictator, but let's keep it real—no breaking spaghetti, and please, for the love of all things tasty, no ketchup on pizza or pasta. Can we agree on that?

Cheers to the connections we make—because, let's face it, life is all about those moments that stick with us.

I went for a trip with other Au pairs that I never met, with my car, and we end up sharing the room.
I slept on a boat 🚣‍♀️ and it was cold but amazing!
I went inside a huge bubble who was made it on purpose for me!
I swam with a shark near me and did not know he was near me, until I was outside of the water.
I traveled to 20 countries in 20years of my life.
I have eaten a cricket 🦗

What I Can Share with Hosts

"what can I offer to the hosts?"

Well, I can teach the worst swear word in italian! :D
I have a bunch of weird story about the kids that I used to take care as an Au pair! Some are funny, some are just totally out of the way! In Edinburgh, I work as a tour guide in a chocolate place, definitely up to make jokes or tell you something about chocolate! What else? I got great packing skills!
I also love toddlers and puppies! Specially when they fall.
