About Leila: She is a great architect, very hardworking and a skilled cook who speaks French and English. About other things and interests? We're almost the same people!
We love to share our moments with other people and make friends, especially international ones!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We like hosting people from everywhere, showing them around and talk about our country and life. Now that we are in another country we no longer accept guests (we are still kind of guests here!) and we are looking forward to use Couchsurfing in other countries so we can taste the true meaning of living in that country. Actually we found spending quality times with total strangers very very cool and funny!

Interests

Hessam: Beside architecture, I am a satire writer, cartoonist and illustrator for some magazines. Beside that, my interests: Cinema (I made some short films), Music (Play some instruments and just bought an electric guitar...make noises with it in my spare time!), photography (amateur photographer), writing (for some magazines I write and I write a blog in Farsi for more than 10 years)... generally art is my INTEREST!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I am a great fan of Pink Floyd. My other favorite bands are: Radiohead, The Beatles, White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, Rage Against The Machine, Seasick Steve and Iranian Traditional Music. I also play two Iranian music instruments (Tar & Setar) and also can sing in traditional style.
Movies: I love cinema and some of favorite movies are: The Matrix, Kill Bill, Amelie, The Eternal Sunshine of A Spotless Mind and... Coen Brothers are my favorite filmmakers.

I play two Iranian music instruments. I won't say I will "teach" them to you(!) but I can play them well for you and make your experience in Iran much deeper!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Ask everything from Iran you want to know. This country is mostly projected through media with an awful image. I won't say that there is a wonderful image! But you do not have a clue what lies beneath!... (Hmmm!... Sounded like a good and exciting trailer/commercial! for our couch!) ;)
