About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Intrepid and indefinite travels

ABOUT ME

I've given up being a corporate slave and capitalist lackey to see more of the world. I love travelling and meeting people from all over the world and luckily for me I am able to live my dream.

I'm pretty outgoing (read extreme extrovert), love live, laughter, absurdity and adventure. I'm currently in Buenos Aires and having been here for a week, think I'm going to stay for a lot longer.

PHILOSOPHY

You have a choice you can be happy or miserable, I chose happiness
I'm easy but not cheap!
Laughing uses more muscles than frowning, so it's good exercise
oh and 'una mas!!'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to offer my couch, but I'm not sure if my current tenants would be too happy about that so I'm participating in surfing on other's couches until I find a 'home' and can offer a couch to all those that have helped me over the years.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm always amazed at how generous complete strangers are have had great times sleeping in their homes and sharing a small part of their lives.

Music, Movies, and Books

music - very electic taste from Radiohead to funky happy house
books - favourites include Secret History by Donna Tart, Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky, Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, Hemmingway, Wuthering Heights, William Boyd and Kate Atkinson
Movies - from Goodfellas, to North by Northwest, via Fargo and Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to list here. I've been very privileged to have been able to experience amazing sites, experience hilarious scenarios, like being pulled over in Africa by the army with AK47s pointed at the car. Being sat on a long mini bus ride next to an African Witchdoctor. Diving with turtle and sharks. Swimming with dolphins, Seeing leopards, lions, elephants (crossing the road in front of my car on a main road through Africa)and a cheetah on a kill at 2am. Thousands of glorious sunsets and sunrises.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn and become competent in Spanish, but am pretty hopeless at languages
I want to continue to learn about life and believe everyone has something they can teach me about myself and also about the world around me
