I am a Fresh food fairy, mama, nutrition educator, co-op lover (we have a lovely cooperative grocery store in Kalamazoo and I'm on the board), ultimate frisbee player, hiker, cook, jewelry maker, bike rider, backpacker...

PHILOSOPHY

love wins. assume that people have good intentions. work hard and play hard. learn from everyone and everything, especially the natural world. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love to cook for people (when I have time) and find it really fun to meet travelers. Our family has been hosting couch surfers for years and we really enjoy hearing stories, learning about people and sharing our lovely town with folks.

I love our local music scene and going to music festivals.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I am often awestruck when I am in Michigan's Upper Peninsula (we go every winter) - what a wild place that is. I love frozen Lake Superior and cross country skiing in the Porcupine Mountains on a few feet of fresh, powdery snow. Snow in general gets me really excited wherever I can enjoy it. I love to visit natural places (preferably backpacking in to get totally away from cars and buildings) - some that stick out are: Lake Michigan, dunes, Picture Rocks, Crater Lake, Oregon coast, Redwood Forests, Yosemite, Death Valley, Bristlecone National Forest, local farms, and even the woods near Kalamazoo.

Giving birth was such a magical, amazing powerful experience! Nothing can top that.
