Love:
Travelling, adventure, the ocean, being in-and underwater, diving, laughing, sabayon with vanilla ice cream, friends, movies, the sound of my flight take off, italian food, snowboarding, hugging, eating out/ trying out new dishes, music, sauna, the smell of forest, salsa, preparing for a next vacation, reading (novels), rollercoasters, beachwalks, gin tonic, Belgian beers, Asian flavors, chocolate (duh!), humor, my job and colleagues, sleeping in, stand up comedy, ...

Don't like:
traffic, people who make traffic worse , Belgian sprouts, narrowminded people, prejudice, dishonesty, humorless people, ricard or anything that tastes anise

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had the chance to meet some amazing couchsurfing hosts during my Australia trip in 2007-2008 (travelling solo) and i wanted to give back and host myself but it was just not possible with an impossible landlord and a way to small place to host.
This year -2016- i bought my own place and it's more comfortable than my previous place but more importantly it's mine and i do what i want ;)

So now is time to give back to people who are likeminded adventurers and love to visit Belgium/Europe.

Interests

I enjoy life and i love to do/share/taste/explore/feel/hear/... alone and in the company of friends and family.
I'm active and like sports but as much as i like that, doing nothing and just lazing about is just as much me.
I love food and eating/tasting it, but being a good cook myself? Nah, not really but i do try ;)

Music:
I love to dance and listen to music of all times.
Waking up and driving to my work i prefer nostalgic and during the day i listen to contemperary rock (www.stubru.be)

Books:
Love to read novels (preferably spiced with some eroticism) and occasionaly thrillers.
Favorite authors: Sylvia Day, Kristen Ashley, Colleen Hoover, Sylvain Renard, Lauren Blakely, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving in France, meeting with people all over the world, bungeejumping in Queenstown NZ and above the Zambezi, seeing the overwhelming beauty of the national parks in Sout East US, standing on a pyramid, diving with sharks/manta rays/turtles..., "eating" Tom yum kung with 9 peppers , up close with a komodo dragon in Indonesia, iceclimbing the spectacular glaciers of New Zealand, trying to surf in Byron Bay Australia, sandboarding in Namibia, buying my own appartement (yeah!),

What I Can Share with Hosts

If i'm not at work (monday till Friday from 8am till 5pm) it would be my pleasure to show you my city. It is not a big city but very enjoyable and has some great dining options (if your budget allows that offcourse).
If that's not an option it would be nice to cook together and get to know each others cuisine. Like i said before: for me it's not only about giving you a crashpath but getting to know one another by socializing.

Information about cities to visit nearby (Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges) i can also provide though very important note: i'm not a guide!
