About Me

I am a friendly, passionate and happy soul that loves life; always interested in people and curious about everything around me.. I'm full of energy and constantly hungry for everything new and unexplored - hence my very inpatient and restless soul!

PHILOSOPHY
Everything is possible.. always!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CS experiences have all been good, great or amazing.. some people you meet turn out to be friends for life - and others you stay in touch with knowing that at some random time you will meet up again in the future.
The first time I couch surfed was back in the days of New Years eve of 2006 together with 2 of my best friends from Norway in Rome. At the last moment we jumped into the new year with too much good Italian food and drinks with the lovely Matteo and Carlo+friends and loved them too much that we stayed for another 3 days. It was hard not to love CS from that moment on..

Some other very memorable CS adventures:

First time in India in summer 07 I surfed with Purva and her warm and lovely family in Delhi - treating me like just another family member. Two years later, in the summer of 09 I returned to India and stayed with them again, and it was just like coming home. A very warm and welcoming family that has a big spot in my heart!

Last but not least, my family got extended with the craziest and best German girl, Dö whom I met at Berlin Beach Camp in may 06 - we've become best friends ever since and travelled to India together in the summer of 09.

Trying to escape the touristy Rajasthan, Dö and I ended up in a crazy Indian adventure with our CS man and guide Siddharta in the magical desert village of Sattasar. Words cannot explain the wicked, authentic and magical days we spent there with the kids, camels, people and the desert itself.. amazing!

Interests

I love the smell of summer, sea and salt, being free and on the road, travelling without a plan, live music in intimate spaces, learning languages, freckles on my nose, photography, maps, everything colourful, sushi, dreaming, laughing a whole lot, dancing to the rythm of the beat, sunshine, cooking, wine, good friends, impulsive actions, curly hair, fooze ball, romanticism, monsoon rain, movies, flowers, old things, chocolate, love, the ocean, big snowflakes, driftwood, nature, little cute fluffy lambs ..

Music, Movies, and Books

I simply love music and I'm always into discovering new stuff from everywhere and anywhere. Rythm is essential!I love quirky movies, black humour, strange little stories and anything but mainstream stuff..Pulp Fiction, Gato Negro Gato Blanco, Cidade de Deus, Natural Born Killers, Delicatessen, Amelie, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Holy Mountain, A very serious man, No country for old men and I love love all Jeunet movies, Almodóvar, Gondry, Scorsese and Alejandro Jodorowsky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skiing in the Arabian desert; beach party in El Salvador to drums in the pouring rain; Brasil robbery that was crap when it happened but tells a good story; Whale Shark Down Under, Rajasthani desert-village adventure, The Great Wall, Norwegian Fjords, Bolivia strike Drama, Indian wedding, swimming with a beautiful sea turtle in the Philippines, being surrounded by mighty mountains in Nepal.. the list is endless..

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good at making people laugh, and I tell loads of stories, some good others worse. And I like to think that I can create a pretty good and positive vibe around me, that easily gets contageous. Plus I'm a pretty decent cook, and I love cooking for people that appreciate and love eating + sharing a good bottle of wine!
