About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world and come back to tell the tale!

ABOUT ME

It's really hard to answer these kinds of questions, y'know? I'm... me! I'm a Boston University student, class of 2012, studying chemistry and computer science. I write for (and am editor of) BU Culture Shock, one of the most amazing publications ever to grace BU's website. I've been a Red Sox fan all my life. I love good beer and am willing to travel to find it.

PHILOSOPHY

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and then go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive." --Dr. Howard ThurmanI guess, when all is said and done, I try to lead a good life. I like making new friends, seeing new places, trying new things, and always lending a helping hand where I see one needed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have officially hosted my first Couch Surfer! I liked hosting and would be glad to do it more. Unfortunately, time doesn't always allow it due to school commitments and whatnot, so I don't make it to any of the meetups. Yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Working on it... Hosted once, attempting now to start traveling.

Interests

I'm big into music - I play guitar, and used to sing and play cello. I'm always in the mood to try a new and interesting beer. I love going to a club and getting lost in the music.^^That sounds SO cheesy. I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote it. Anyways, I love writing. I run a blog on campus called BU Culture Shock and like to write about anything. It's tons of fun and quite therapeutic. If I HAD to give a sport I like, I'd say bicycling (it's quite practical) or soccer. Not that I'm much good at either...

Music, Movies, and Books

Current book: "Lord of the Flies", by William GoldingMost recently finished: "The Hunger Games", by Suzanne Collins-------------------For favorite music, check out what I've been listening to on Spotify (username: aengel1). The variety couldn't get much more eclectic if you tried.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I interviewed Shaanan Streett, the lead singer of the band Hadag Nahash. Perhaps it's just a personal mindfuck, but meeting the lead singer of my favorite band is just SO COOL.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach fellow surfers about the art of homebrewing. I also can speak some Spanish and love practicing debating with others.

Countries I’ve Visited

Costa Rica, Israel, Palestine

Countries I’ve Lived In
