I'm an alien, or...haylien, if you will.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My first couchsurfing experience was in Australia at the beginning of a study abroad program, and it was such a fun time I had to do it again, and return the favor when I got home by hosting surfers at my own place. It is great to be able to show a traveler the local spots and as a surfer it is great to have a guide and friend in a foreign place.
A few summers later, I spent two months traveling around Europe and once again, had the greatest time with the wonderful people that hosted me.
Surfing a couch is always an amazing experience, and definitely beats some boring hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read all the time and to pick a favorite book would be like asking me to pick a favorite dog (it's Darwin) and I watch adventure time or some other cartoon basically every morning so if you can get down with that we will be friends for life. And I like music, but my tastes are always evolving.
I can't make decisions.

Teach, Learn, Share
I like to learn new things and share stories and experiences with surfers. Anything from a new recipe to learning some guitar chords. I always learn something when I host or surf. Even if it's something small that you can transfer into your own life and philosophy. Like a new way to make toast.
