About Me
ABOUT ME
Born in Munich, Germany, I lived in the same place for most of my youth. Despite travelling much, I decided it is time for me to spend some time abroad. So I spent one year in China, studying at a Beijing' univerisity. This year has proven unvaluable for me: Not only did I learn many new things about China, Mandarin and myself, but also found many good friends and my wonderful girlfriend.
After returning to Munich I continue to pursue my major in Business administration and am currently doing an exchange semester to Seoul, South Korea.
PHILOSOPHY
In der Jugend ist man glücklich, weil man die Fähigkeit hat, das Schöne zu sehen. Wer diese Gabe bewahrt, wird niemals alt.
In youth one is fortunate, because one has the ability to see beauty. Who keeps this gift will never grow old.(Franz Kafka)
Excuse my rough translation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since I updated last, much has changed:
In February and January 2012 I went on my long dreamed of travel through northern China and South Korea. Now that I passed
Surfing couches in Seoul and Busan, I can say:
Couchsurfing is the best! The best way not only to come to friendly places, to meet interesting people, but also: (in my case) to find new friends!
So far I didn't meet many people, but all in all I met more than 50% of them again. Even in my hometown!

"What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much though...â
