About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To gain some perspective on the world and on life through travel, funding said travel through poker successes.

ABOUT ME

I am a professional poker player, but I love to spend time away from the tables traveling, skiing, sailing, visiting friends and family, etc.

PHILOSOPHY

Love! I respect anyone that works hard to achieve their goals, no matter what they are. I'm a big proponent of getting out of something exactly what you put into it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am very new to the CS community but I'm excited to embark on all it has to offer. I live in a place with a very transient population, and it happens to be a popular tourist spot as well, so I'm excited to have the opportunities to host when I'm not away.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no couch surfing experiences that were a result of couchsurfing.com, but earlier this year my roommate and myself were host to a friend of my roommate's for about 3 weeks. He dreamed of having his own farm, and it was refreshing to hang out with someone who had such a strong drive to be in touch with nature and the earth.
A friend of my aunt's host us in Memphis, TN and pointed us in the right direction as far as what to check out for the one night we were there.

Interests

Anything outdoors...skiing, sailing, beaching, golfing, climbing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into good dramas and comedies as far as movies go. For books, I am most fascinated by those that point out shocking factoids about humans or society and culture. I listen to just about all kinds of music, it just depends on what kind of mood I'm in!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Semuc Champey in Guatemala was perhaps the most breathtaking place I have ever visited. Over 25 turquoise pools overlooking a waterfall in what seems to be the middle of nowhere.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have worked both as a skiing and sailing instructor. I am a certified Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician. I am always looking to learn a new instrument or anything music related, as well as foreign languages.
