I've travelled to many places around the world and the best way to really know a place is to know its people....and their couch.

ABOUT ME

Having a professional job doesn't mean that you have to have a carefully laid out life full of hotels etc. I love meeting people from different countries and travelling to new places for different travel experiences.
I love showing off my 2 home towns (Manchester and Istanbul). (Update: now back to one home town - Manchester)
I'm a very relaxed, sociable and open person and get on with almost anyone.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is too difficult to generalise but it's for living not worrying. If you see a chance, grab it!

I've both hosted and surfed and have met some great people. Doing either brings rewards :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted my first guests ever when I was in Turkey. I also met with my friend's guests a few times so we had mini CS group meetings!
Back in Britain, it's difficult for me to host at the moment but I'm always available to show people around and offer any help if need be. Feel free to get in touch.

Travel (anywhere, anytime...money permitting of course!), music, especially live gigs, cinema, history, ice hockey (that one was a bit difficult in Turkey!) and general socialising.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I'm an intrepid traveller so I love all my travel experiences but a couple do stand out. Venturing solo around Uzbekistan; being the only foreigners in some Ethiopian towns while there was a war on and being in Laos only 5 years after the borders were opened to tourists. I'm not even going to mention a certain staggeringly beautiful place in Norway as it should remain the tranquil beauty spot it is....don't ask!
