Freedom! Been a post grad gypsy the last year and a half, and have been taking my studies abroad. In the process of decolonizing my mind, seeking light and livin' love. I'm enamored with enlightenment and ecstatically engaging the spirit of this great mystery.

In no mysterious way I manifested my dream job just months ago and now live in Arcata, CA. I volunteer/intern with the 7th Generation Fund for Indian Development - an Indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and maintaining the uniqueness of Native peoples throughout the Americas. We also lobby at the UN with other organizations like the American Indian Law Alliance to bring awareness to issues affecting indigenous peoples.

Our organization derives its name from a precept of the Great Law of Peace of the Haudenosaunee (Six Nations Iroquois Confederacy) which mandates that chiefs consider the impact of their decisions on the seventh generation yet to come.

A truly wonderful opportunity. I am excited to lay some roots here in Arcata, work with the 7th Generation fund and begin blogging about social justice issues.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

You can come crash on my bench at the Canoe shacks in Hilo, Hawaii. But I recommend the cool infinite yin energy of the soft sand, underneath the moon down by the bay.

Will be getting a spot soon in Arcata and look forward to hosting all you travelers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Crash pads, flop houses, tarp tents, dorms, dens, hotel industrial complexes, porches, lanai's and where ever I can lay my head.

Volunteered with the Buffalo Field Campaign. Got to hang with all the beautiful Buffalo and protect their right to roam. It was fun stalking agents of the government, videotaping them and providing them with a moral conscious.

One crazy horrifying experience I had while volunteering their was when I was in the back of a truck video taping a helicopter hazing a group of 60 buffalo. We were speeding on this private land owners property - a pro buffalo community member - to get the footage. The department of livestock routinely ignores the calls for them to stop trespassing and harassing buffalo on private land owners property who honor and support the presence of this majestic animal in their eco-community.
