ABOUT ME

I have always been keen on meeting different kind of people and cultures. I spend quite an active life with my hobbies and different kinds of volunteer work (f. ex. teaching Finnish for foreigners). I like my city Tampere, which is - even according to newspapers - the most attractive city in Finland nowadays :) but like for the most Finns, Nature is very important for me..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

so far I only hosted three times ( nice experiences), and once I was a guest by myself, we got friends for later. That couple visited me in Tampere as well, and every year they invite me back...:)

Interests

Yoga (different types of it), winter swimming, skiing, theatre, pilates, Spanish language, eastern philosophies, esoteric knowledge, volunteer work in associations like The International Volunteer Work Association and The Finnish Red Cross

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

in a lifetime? I´m not sure, but now I wonder, how did I hitch-hike thousands of kilometres in Europe (around my twenties). 20 years later, moving from Helsinki alone with my son of 8 months to the countryside, to a house without a water closet and sometimes even without own water...but it was nearly an euphoric time
- this morning a treecreeper bird flew inside of my balcony door, I got it back out, but it is still staying on the balcony wall...
