About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Perform belly dancing in Hyde Park,London.

ABOUT ME

I am an optimist girl.Drawn to passionate people, captivating storytellers, attentive listeners, divine food, people who share their food, the cinema, social justice, open air markets, long train rides, diversity, dark chocolate. I love stories and folks who are authentically authoring their own mytho-poetic stories. I tend to respect more living the questions from a starting point of "I don't know" versus a less humble approach.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, I eat dessert first
I've found that down to earth is a key quality that enables human connections, especially with interests like wandering and spirituality, which can, you know, fall off the deep end with some folks? :)
But when those interests are held in the context of being of service to the human and other-than-human world, of affirming life in a deep and genuine way, then I see beauty-filled inspiration. It feeds my soul to connect with these folks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately i can't host you at the moment, but I'm available for a city tour or a nice cocktail in Cambridge!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I had awesome exprieces by couchsurfing. I had my first ever experience last summer and definitely made me appreciate this genious way of travelling. I met several cool people and I'm still in touch with them.

Interests

*I love music: listening, making mixes, playing

*I can get theoretical sometimes: topics like gift-economy, depth psychology, eco/soul-centric life... Can be a great exploration when grounded in personal experience; can suck if I lack clarity. ;)

*Psychology is one of my old passions: humanistic, depth, eco
*I looove a good massage. Have you heard of synesthetic massage?
*Fully-engaging films: I can get delightfully absorbed in a good film.

*My center of gravity since graduating college has been wandering. "Not all those who wander are lost." (but that means so many different things for different folks, doesn't it?)

Teach, Learn, Share

Life is largely about stories, isn't it? The stories we tell each other, the stories we learn from, the stories that define our culture, the stories we consciously or unconsciously live out, the stories that bring us to request a couch... :) I believe CS becomes a rich experience by connecting through the interweaving of our stories. If you believe that too, do share some of your story!
