ABOUT ME

Recent graduate from Cambridge uni with a Masters degree in Engineering, I now live in London, working at an investment bank. That would generally not describe me though as my biggest passion is flying in any way or form, gliding, powered flying, etc. and I just like looking for a thrill (something you don’t find at a desk in a bank too often!). I love travelling and have seen a lot of cities in the world, trying to expand into the more non-touristy areas in the future!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS because I live alone in London but have friends staying with me pretty much every week so figured I could expand to host others. Obviously hoping to make use of some couches while travelling too but for now I’m only hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed on many a friend’s couch but never with CS.org! Looking forward to meeting more people that way though!

Interests

As anything previous already states: flying! I glide during the summers and do powered flying whenever the bank account allows it! Also play 3 classical instruments, like dancing, sailing anything fun, sporty, challenging, adventurous and of course travelling. Am trying hard to improve my French to “fluent” after which I will start on Spanish and possibly Arabic and Japanese.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: pretty much anything that is not heavy metal, rap or hip-hop. So I quite like pop, rock, jazz, alternative, some “soft” electronic, occasionally classical. Movies: favourites include Forrest Gump, Top Gun, Disney’s The Lion King, Mindhunters, Pulp Fiction… quite harmless really…

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving through the South African Kalahari desert at the break of dawn, listening to African music, ready to teach a class of children in a small village… obviously there are other moments but it says “one amazing thing”!

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I teach and share? I’ve travelled a lot and lived abroad so I like to talk about my travels. More importantly I like to learn about most things and I find it easiest learning by talking about it in a casual environment!
