About Me
ABOUT ME
A mixture of quirky randomness followed up by a calm and soothing disposition. It's hard, in my opinion, to describe myself without referencing all those people and life situations that helped mold me in the shape and being and all I am today.
That said, I could point out a few of my natural characteristics to give you a slight idea of my personality. This is turning into a short story... I apologise for all the text, can't help it. I like writing, and rambling on in infinity and... Anyway, most of the time I'm rather reserved, although I wouldn't call myself shy. It depends on my mood and the people I'm with. I can spend hours just sitting next to my brother (who happens to be my best friend as well) or my father with little to no dialogue, yet it wouldn't feel awkward. It's that kind of calm, hard to put in words. But I guess you know what I mean, considering you're still reading this.
To sum up, I'm an open minded, easy going kinda guy. Perhaps we'll meet someday and you can help me fill in the rest of this description? Only time will tell.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Great way to meet new people, and save money when travelling on a budget. The reason I haven't used it much yet, is because hosts I contacted before had no room at the time, so I always ended up staying at a friend's house or going camping.
Interests
Music, movies, literature, poetry, reading, writing, and the list goes on. My main and foremost interest would be nature, ecology, trees, etc. I love sport climbing and bouldering, wish I got into it earlier. Been a vegetarian since I was twelve, eating vegan regularly nowadays.
Last but not least, I like meeting new people with mutual (and/or different) outlooks on life, to exchange our stories and laugh and drink and enjoy our short stay on this beautiful planet, because after all, it's all we have; where we are and who's there with us. This is getting preachy, so I'll leave it at this.

Music, Movies, and Books
Off the top of my head, here's a non-exhaustive list of favourites:
Radiohead, Balthazar, Kevin Morby, Son Lux, Gorilla's, Django Reinhardt, Marc Ribot, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Keaton Henson, Chad Vangaalen, Fleetwood Mac, the Doors, all the beat poets, Alain de Botton, Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, the Hidden life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben, Ilja Leonard Pfeiffer, Bertrand Russell, Quentin Tarantino, David Lynch, Wes Anderson, and so on.
There's a lot I haven't read yet, but mean to, a lot I've read, but shouldn't have, a whole lot of movies I'll never get to see, and heaps of music I still want to experience. In a perfect world, I'd learn to play all of it on guitar, but I try to appreciate the things I can do in the time I got.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some freestyle bouldering in the Gorge of Patsos, in Crete, comes to mind. Amazing things are overrated, though. They're also different for everyone, and we tend to like a good story more than actually experiencing it for ourselves, I think. Doing things, just for the sake of thrills and good stories to tell afterwards, doesn't strike me as amazing, though. Climbing Cretan gorges sounds cool to me, but an actual amazing thing to do would be helping out people in need. That may sound a bit fluffy, but whatever.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach you some guitar, a bit of French, although my grasp on English is vastly superior. So I guess I could teach you a whole lot of English. I can discuss climbing, nature, treecare, etc.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Banter, laughs, company, sharing stories, etc. I can also do some work around the house, like dishes. If you have a garden, I'd love to tend to that and/or give you some advice on treecare specifically.
