About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meeting people from all over the world, thus I will better understand why we are here

ABOUT ME

Weird and funny. Mostly weird.

PHILOSOPHY

Be curious, be open-minded, be ready and... be weird.

I learn this from photography and japanese poetry : a precious moment is a fugitive one. Don't let it go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sorry. 25th february 2012, a drainpipe exploded in my appartment. I spend my days mopping dirty waters. By now, I can't give shelter to anybody. I am myself looking for a place to stay while my place is flooded.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until today, the only CS experience was complete improvisation in Krakow (Poland) and Tbilisi (Georgia). I stayed two weeks with philosophy students in the flat they shared. I discovered many things with them, they played guides and translators for me. But the best memories are crazy talks until the middle of the night. One of the best travels in my short life.
And some dishwashing... don't ask me why.

Interests

Photography (some of my favorite photographers... Eugene Smith, Vivian Maier, James Nachtwey, Max Yavno, Mary Ellen Mark, Michael Ackerman, Diane Arbus, Joel-Peter Witkin, etc.), drawing (well... Kubin, Mucha, Privat-Livemont, Munch, Zouravliov, Shin Taga, Mad Meg, John Dyer Baizley, Crumb, Burns, Wolverton, Topor, Beksinski, Shohei Otomo, Alberto Martini, etc.), poetry (mostly japanese one). Then literature (do you have few hours in front of you?) and theater (I slowly am discovering it). Graphic urban landscapes and abandonned places. Long walks in wilderness. And being in places I shouldn't be, meeting people that I wouldn't have met in any other circumstances.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies? I could fulfil pages about movies. Italian, hungarian, japanese ones. If you like movies, we will have to talk about. And movie soundtracks!

Music? Tom Waits, Portishead, Mazzoll i Kazik and Arythmic Perfection, Arvo Pärt, Professor Longhair, Bach (the Goldberg variations, but not only), Chopin, Lisa Leblanc, Trent Reznor (with and without Atticus Ross), Françoiz Breut, Sigur Ros, Alain Bashung, Radiohead, Philip Glass, Fever Ray, Beak, Beirut, Taraf de Haïdouks, Harry Belafonte (I like mento and calypso, but hey! I know Lord Flea and the Wrigglers as well), Jon Brion, Eels, The Rolling Stones, Rage against the Machine, Giedre, Alexandre Desplat, etc.

Books? One of the best being on the road "L'usage du monde" de Nicolas Bouvier. And many many others (ask me and I will send you a list!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was eleven, I collected stamps. I thought that the president of my country (France) would receive a lot of mail. Thus I wrote a letter to him to ask him if he could send me all the stamps on the letters he would receive.

Teach, Learn, Share

What can I say? The first thing I share once was a recipe in Poland. We cooked food and eat together and I don't knwo why everything got clear... I think I got more things to learn than to teach. But I could be wrong. To share... I don't know... arts, gastronomy, experiences and jew's harp (always take one when I travel), etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, that's a trick question... some cooking (I like to cook for friends), drawing, photography, and well... the rest will be discovered while talking.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, United Kingdom
