About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to solve some problems of the world the natural way, without technology.

ABOUT ME

I am a academician, 22 years. I just passed out from school, IIT Delhi only to find out that I want to explore and travel with/in nature. Just started my way into adventures and I am loving it. Like to go on less explored or inhabited (different) places. I love everything about nature starting from all sorts of animals, plants, trees, all kinds of people to food items. You can feed me anything, anywhere, talk to me about anything. Just get me into some "natural" fun.

PHILOSOPHY

I have mentioned some of my favorite quotes here, which can describe me (Some of them are original compilations of my dear friends):

1. “Dude! You can’t do it” - harsh snehhanshu
2. “Force yourself to do what you are afraid of!” - dhruv jain
3. “If u don’t succeed in ur n-1 attempts there is no PMI law, telling that you cannot succeed in ur nth attempt, however large value of n may be.” - abhishek gupta
4. “Life is a storm, my young friend. You will bask in the sunlight one moment, be shattered on the rocks the next. What makes you a man is what you do when that storm comes. You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. *Do your worst, for I will do mine!* Then the fates will know you as we know you as Albert Mondego, the man!” - edmond in Count of Monte Cristo
5. “The Happiest People Do Not Necessarily Have The “Best” Things. They Simply Appreciate The Things They Have” - wittyone
6. “If not us, who? If not now, when?” - john F. kennedy
7. “We will either find a way, or make one!” - Hannibal
8. “The most sensible stage of a human being is when he is mad at something.” - apoorv jain
9. “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sail. EXPLORE! DREAM! DISCOVER!” - mark twain
10. “Please, God, try to forgive these people. Because even if they say those bad things, they don’t know what they’re doing. http://www.dailygood.org/story/439/miserable-and-magical-a-graduation-speech-for-paradoxical-times-nipun-mehta/. A child who can take up a beat like that. I wait to see what she can do in her life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I went on to some treks in Himalayas and South India with some cool people. Now I am going for a difficult trek in December and preparing for it. I will also do a Scuba Diving training in November, I love water!. I have just started visit CS weekly events in Bangalore and made some friends.

Also, I collect evidences about some environmental or other problems while I travel and make some innovative devices or a concept or some mechanical structure, anything to solve them the simple way. I focus on self-sustainable solutions so that people in those communities can manage it in their own way without any outside help.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a new-comer. Just started visiting CS weekly events in Bangalore. Made some friends and planning to do something great with it. Inquired my apartment owner for a hosting a CS member and he said yes, so you are all welcome!

Music, Movies, and Books

I wrote a document about all the things I love in this world. Here are a few excepts from it:

Movies that changed my life:
1. Pirates of the Caribbean
(The amazing character of ‘Jack Sparrow’, not the actor Johnny Depp. - 'Leave him in the worst situation. He will happily find a way to do what he likes. And this will loop throughout', A man who can cheerfully take a beat like that… truly amazing. Similarly “the Longest Yard”)
2. The Zeitgeist
(The greatest lies ever told to mankind – Religion, War)
3. Taare Zameen Par
(Every child is special; I am a child with dyslexia, not primarily- dyslexic)
4. All war movies
(Discipline, how you are bound to follow orders and why is it very important)
5. Pretty Women
(You can form a relationship with anyone, add masala to life)

Books (B):
1. Randy Pausch: “The last lecture”
(Any childhood dream can be achieved, making certain compromises. Other principles in the book are good too: “Bricks are there for a reason!”, “Always introduce the elephant in the room” etc.)
2. Neale Donald Walsh: “Conversations with God”
3. Abraham Harold Maslow: “Farther reaches of Human Nature”
(for “The hierarchy of needs” and guide to self-actualization)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. The singing-ringing tree (and the like)
2. Infinity pool
(Amazed at the mental effect it creates)
3. TI Barstool
(How innovative man! Will love to play with this)
4. Frankly I love simple things about nature and I found them to be equally amazing viz. Beach, Mountains, Riverside, Jungle, Village, Park etc.
