About Me

Hey! My name is Didier, french guy, 46y, father of a 3 kids family. After 8 years living in Mozambique and then Angola, we currently hit the road from Luanda, back to France. Trip is planned to last for one year. So together with my wife we'll teach to the kids along the road. We were both teachers, geography for my wife, maths for me, quite complementary !

We usually camp into the wild beauty of the continent. We're equipped with a Land Cruiser towing a trailer.

Before that, I've been living in many different countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. Travel, new experience and meeting new people is in my blood and I can extend it to the entire family.

I love nature, no ceiling above the head, no wall in the short horizon. But sometimes, it's good to relax on a real bed or even a necessity to pass through city for logistic aspects.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even if I can define my family as very much social, open to new person and cultures, we're new in couchsurfing, never experienced before when we were living in an house. No particular reason unless maybe the fact of being focussed on our kids since they are quite young still (9, 8 and 5).

Anyway, many of our friends practice couchsurfing and have had great experiences. I guess it can be a way to meeting nice people and share good moments sharing our experiences.

And honestly, the big trip we're doing now is particularly adapted to couchsurfing when poping up in cities.

PS. Just to clarify, my perfil states that I do not accept any guest. I did so because we're living in our car/trailer and are constantly on the move. Next time when we'll get back to normal life !
