About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'd like to try doing stand-up comedy one of these days.
ABOUT ME
My close friends and family would probably call me chef, I love cooking for my friends and family and hosting others. I've always been known to be outgoing, quirky, and very creative- they are also qualities that have brought me on adventures! I'm fond of studying languages and love traveling, my friends know to speak to me in more than one language.
PHILOSOPHY
I know it's cliché, but Ghandi's "Live like you'll die tomorrow, learn like you'll live forever" is a wonderful mantra that I live by. I thoroughly enjoy my life at University and my studies but I think its just as important to enjoy the time while it lasts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been Couch surfing for a few years now, and my roommates and I have hosted a few couch surfers over the years in Toronto and had a great time! I look forward to couchsurfing myself soon!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch surfing has been AMAZING!!! I've mostly hosted people, but they have been wonderful, fun people who we are sad to see leave. Every experience is different and interesting, and we love having travelers stay with us whenever we are available. :-) This year I would like to surf on couches a bit more if I have time away from University.
Interests
Traveling is a must. I love seeing new cultures and meeting new people, and above all trying new things. Getting around the world and hearing people's stories, getting to know all of them has been a wonderful experience, and learning from them has been a pastime of mine. I love listening to bossa nova, reggae, rock, rap, jazz and hip hop, I'm very interested in drawing and painting, very much enjoy getting out around the city, going to fun events, and meeting new people. Nevertheless, I grew up in an area surrounded by beautiful wilderness- when I can go hiking, camping, or get outdoors, I love to!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going out on the beach for New Years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil was absolutely glorious. Brazilians are so full of life!
Teach, Learn, Share
If someone came to my home, I'd love to teach them how to cook! I have a food blog where I post recipes and love nothing more than teaching others: http://www.theycallmesaucy.com
Things I'd like to learn? More Portuguese and French, how to make great Persian food, how to photograph more efficiently, and how to play my guitar!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to make you dinner (I'm a great cook! you can see my food at theycallmesaucy.com) , teach you English, or take you out for drinks! I really appreciate my hosts and want to reciprocate in any way!
