One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two years ago I went to Cuba and one of the waiters took a liking to my daughter so he invited us and grand daughter who was 10 yrs old at time to his mother's house for a Lobster dinner.(lobster he poached) The little shack with a tin roof and dirt floor was what they provided however they had their best table cloth on the table and salad on a plate which was nicely presented.
They were very proud to have a refrigerator with only juice in it and a TV. They appeared quite happy with with they had and were happy to share with the 3 of us.
Apart from the waiter, no one spoke English.
We had taken a lot of supplies of clothing, perfume, creams, toothpaste ect so we had a dress and shoes for his mother which she immediately modelled for us. We took pictures which we will always cherish
That was down to earth hospitality with a smile!
