I'm a PhD student in philosophy in Istanbul, currently trying to finish my dissertation. I specialize in Ancient Greek philosophy and more specifically Aristotle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a large apartment by myself. Ideally it can accommodate many people but for the most part I am very busy with my dissertation. When I have the time, though, you are welcome. One thing is, I live on the Asian side, which is not very close to Taksim or Sultanahmet, where all the tourists want to go.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed once with three guys in Gent, Belgium. Back then I was not a member but my friend whom I was travelling with was. Our hosts were extremely friendly; it was a very positive experience.

Interests

I'm interested in philosophy and languages. I speak Turkish, English, Ancient Greek, and to a lesser extent German, and to an even lesser extent Modern Greek.

I have lived 5 years in Canada and 3 years in Amsterdam. Now I'm back to living in Istanbul, my hometown.
