To learn, explore the world, meet new people.

I am new to couch surfing and while I am quite well traveled I always thought hostels were the way to go when traveling because you get to meet so many other people. While this is true, I have begun to realize that I never really meet any locals. I am trying to experience traveling in a different way now.

Favorite Band - The Growlers

Favorite Movies - Anything with Humphrey Bogart. Casablanca is my all time favorite. Also - Indiana Jones, Good Will Hunting, Pulp Fiction, Good Fellas, The Godfather,The Birdcage, Shawshank Redemption, Legends of the Fall, Fight Club, Romeo + Juliet, SLC Punk. My favorite director is Wes Anderson (Life Aquatic, Royal Tenenbaums, Budapest Hotel, The Darjeeling Limited, Bottle Rocket)

Favorite Book - That's a hard one, but all time favorites are Slaughterhouse 5 and Siddhartha. Some of my favorite authors are John Steinbeck, Kurt Vonnegut and Chuck Palahnuik.
