Hi, I'm Hilary! I'm a 25 year old kiwi girl ready to explore as much of the world as possible.

I grew up in Nelson, New Zealand and have lived in Vancouver, Brisbane, and Sydney, and after being back in NZ and living in Wellington for a year and a half I headed to Europe for 4 months of adventure.

I'm back in Wellington now and ready to start planning my next trip!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing so I have the opportunity to meet as many awesome people as possible and really experience different cultures! I'd also love to meet up with visitors to Wellington who are looking for a tour guide or just a chat! (When I'm back in New Zealand!)

Interests

I love to meet new people and try new things. I'm always up for going somewhere I haven't been before, having a glass of wine, and going to the beach - but also enjoy quiet nights at home watching Netflix.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most mind blowing things I've seen is the Grand Canyon, it was absolutely amazing! No photos can do it justice. I recommend it to everyone and would love to go back.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd really like to learn a new language on my travels. I recently learnt basic New Zealand Sign Language. Update: I'm currently attempting to learn Italian!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to teach my hosts about New Zealand language and culture! I would also be very happy to cook some dinners and help around the house, as well as teach some English to anyone who would like to learn!
