About Me
I'm travelling Europe this summer beginning 1st of May with my boyfriend Will. Along the way we'd be interested in meeting some people and have a cross cultural stay!
May/beginning of June: Spain, including Huelva and Seville
June: Italy/Croatia (especially looking for someone to show us around for two days in Venice!)
July/August: Croatia
August: Budapest, Hungary
After that we'll be moving on to Australia to do a working holiday visa for a year, so if anyone wants to take us under their wing in Melbourne in September please do! We'll be looking for work in Melbourne for the first six months of our visa.
You can also check out my Instagram @hilaspar if you wanna stalk me a little before getting in contact.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think what Will and I would like to get out of couchsurfing is a place to stay (obviously) with a host that would like to share their knowledge of their local area - tell us the best places to eat, the secret beautiful areas tourists don't know about etc. We don't need you with us every second of the day - we understand that you're busy as we are too! We want to be able to soak up every new place we visit and see it all. Couchsurfing seems a good option to experience some place in a more intimate way!
Interests
I love yoga, although I'm out of practice currently. I also read comics, play computer games (a LOT since we've been saving to travel and don't go out as much as I used to) and enjoy healthy eating and a somewhat active lifestyle. Whilst I don't love the pain of them, I do have some tattoos and always want more! Im an animal lover, an environmentalist, a feminist and a human rights activist. (Mostly online activism but I've taken part in rally's and protests too) I'm looking forward to exploring museums, swimming in the sea and lakes, taking in the sights of natural landmarks, and trying different food whilst travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music and I'm very easy going about different tastes. I'll never judge you on your 'guilty pleasures' in regards to music! I am more passionate about films and books and tv shows. The most recent shows I'm enjoying are How to get Away with Murder, Brooklyn nine nine, Bobs Burgers, Parks and Recreation and Jessica Jones. I'm also really into my Netflix documentaries, Indias daughter and Cowspiracy I really recommend! My favourite books are Harry Potter and Ultimate Spider-man (I have homage tattoos to both haha)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I kinda always default to this as it sounds more impressive than it is but I lived in a tribal community in India for 3 months. I helped set up a youth centre there for the young people as a safe place for them to have fun. I also taught in schools in the community. I have about 1000 funny stories about my time there I'd like to share! There are sad stories too about the realities of domestic abuse, poverty and sexism but those are obviously optional if you prefer to keep it light!
Teach, Learn, Share
Obviously if you're looking to improve your English I will be tefl qualified soon so that will be helpful to you! I have a lot of insight into English culture that I'd like to share.
I'm really interested to know more about the cultures of the places we're visiting - I want to know what your everyday is like! I'm sociable and like to have fun and experience new things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm funny! I love a good social and political discussion and I like to think I can handle my drink pretty well. I can also make a lot of tasty healthy food if you wanted to try some of that. If you like yoga I always want a yoga buddy to practice with.
