ABOUT ME

English has always been my favorite subject as a kid when other kids learning music and art.
Shanghai was the best choice living in China with fluent English but since I traveled more and more, I always wanted to explore more. Moved to Melbourne at the end of 2019 right before COVID and Brisbane is home now.

I have hosted more people when I was in China, which I just realised that they didn’t leave record here but we are now connected as life long friends ever since.
Giving back is always good - when I was doing my master degree, I work for two jobs at the same time. One of them was support worker. I get a lot of fulfillment and satisfaction helping people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Read about CS when I was in high school on a magazine and I signed up for a Work and Travel program in Delaware/Maryland when I was at my second year in my bachelor degree study. Traveled the entire east coast at the end of three month program by myself via couchsurfing. I guess i was half brave and half dumb - but if I would live my 21 year old again, I might do the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Fortunately, most of the people that I met were great, some of which are my life long friends now that we are still in touch regularly. However I did have bad experience. You need to have the ability to tell and make judgements and decisions. Couchsurfing is a beautiful idea, making traveling full of friends around the world and everything just happens how you never imagine! You get to meet people that are from different races, religions, ages and professionals.
The platform is built for people which I appreciate and people should behave not only considering this as an unofficial Airbnb. The way you treat people decides how you get treated. I always help others where I can like how others helped me in the past.

Travel would be the number one.
Scuba and free diving seems too risky now when it comes to plan for my future family. Even though I enjoyed very much when I was younger.
Hiking is easy and assessable in Brisbane now.
I do oil painting sometimes.
I enjoy cooking.

Went up a mountain in Nepal and a group of orphans played with us - all unplanned.
Hosted people at my place when living in Wuhan in 2015 and met the person again in London 2025 and found out he was in the same PHD program as my partner’s friend.
