ABOUT ME

After spending the last year and a half after graduating working in a medical office, I'm looking for some good stories and new faces before heading back to school to pursue a career in nursing. I like laughter and embarrassing anecdotes, spontaneous dance parties and live music. Passionate about arts, critical education and tasty beer. Like dinner, love dessert. Dipping my toes into the solo traveling experience with a smile and a backpack.

PHILOSOPHY

Positivity to the point of naiveté. People are good. Everybody has a great story to tell. Things are better when you're dancing.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Been surfing a few times on my trip to Europe and have met some seriously amazing folk. I am so impressed with the generosity of time and energy that my hosts have shown me. I really have made some long lasting connections. I can't wait to host people when I return to Vancouver!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

From sailing in Croatia, watching hockey in Prague, battling hangovers and exploring mountains in Salzburg to camping on the coast of Italy...I have loved hanging out with my amazing hosts and can't wait to return the hospitality when I return home.

My iPod looks like someone's musical identity crisis, with everything from Bob Dylan to Biggie, Justin Timberlake to Justin Vernon. Guilty pleasures include boy bands and top 40; true love for folk tunes. I like a well-written memoir, but any good story will do. Looking to conquer some of the classics I missed along the way. Attention span and time restraints rarely allow for a whole movie, but love Mad Men, Community, Girls and Modern Family.

Received my certification in Thai massage in Koh Phangan, smoked my first cigarette on top of an Angkor temple in Cambodia, volunteered with a program that provides free education to some of Canada's most low-income citizens.

Got a piece of writing that needs editing? I'm your girl. Hungry for homemade cookies? I've got you covered. I can teach yoga, be your backup singer or write you a story (or academic paper, letter of resignation, application for veterinarian school. I'm flexible).

Want to learn to ride a bike more confidently, play the guitar, be more brave when trying new things.
