Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I read somewhere about Couchsurfing, and found it a good concept.
Meeting new people, new ideas.
It broadens one's horizon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed myself a little bit in New Zealand and the Netherlands, and met some very interesting people, it learned me that there are other ways of living.
With my ex, we used to host couchsurfers, from everywhere, young and elder people, music bands, singles, couples. As he had a big house, we had the possibility to do it, and I think it's an alternative but great way of traveling, and a good experience for surfer and host (most of the time...).
Now being single again, I moved to a little studio and I am not able any longer to host people. But I intend to host couch surfers again next year, as I will move to a little house.

Interests

Theatre, movies, books, cycling, walking in the nature, swimming, dogs.

I tend more and more to be in the nature, the green, away from the city and i'ts busyness.

It' s my dream to live somewhere in the green, with a nature view, in peace and quietness.

Put me on a local market in France and I'm getting high of seeing all that good food, artisinal cheeses, fruit..

And then there's chocolate.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer alternative movies to blockbusters.
I like Scandinavian movies and crimis (Jagten, Borgen, Kapringen, Adams Apples, In a better world), the Filmserie Lillyhamner I enjoyed a lot,
and other movies like: A simple life,Unbearable lightness of Being, El Secreto de su Ojos, films of Mike Leigh and of filmdirector Suzanne Bear, Melancholica etc.

Favorite actors: Philippe Seymour Hoffman, Mad Mikkelsen, Anders Thomas Jensen, Papikra Steen.

I don't know a lot of music, but I am open to all of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting behind a motorcycler late in the evening in the middle of nowhere, hosting a place to sleep, in Sihanoukville in Cambodge.
