About Me

CURRENT MISSION

walk fast, travel slowly

ABOUT ME

I swapped my beloved Brussels for life in the almost-country side close to the sea. I miss walking aimlessly through the city, but get the quiet and beauty of the fields in return. It also smells nicer here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I shared a flat with an ardent CSer, so I have had the pleasure of meeting various people this way. It has been a very positive experience so far. By becoming a member I extended our hospitality :-)

Interests

I love books. Reading them is the best, but then I love holding, smelling, handling books. Arranging them neatly on the shelf. Cradling them to my heart or accidentally on purpose forget them on a train. Lending books, giving them away, borrowing them.
And i love talking about books too :)

Then there is socializing (i.e. partying), dancing, drawing, writing, walking, swimming, listening to music, baking cookies, learning new languages, learning new things in general, DVDnights with friends, massages (giving & receiving), Randy Newman ca. 1978 and bearded ladies.

Also lately i have been interested in time travel. I would like to visit Berlin in the late 1920s, NY in the early 1970s. Paris around 1805. Havana in 1955. Vienna 1910. Den Haag or Amsterdam anytime after 1585. Constantinople around 365. Jerusalem 25AD. Andalucia 1150. Argentina during the cretaceous (but not towards the end of it). Anyway the list is endless. If you have any time travel tips, they're welcome.
