About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to give the world's lonely futons and couches some company

ABOUT ME

I'm currently displaced from my West Coast home and am working as a Speech-Language Pathologist at a hospital in Toronto.

I wish I could be a host right now but I co-habitate in a 264 square foot bachelor with my lovely Chilean common-law.

PHILOSOPHY

Play nice

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host and I WILL host again!!! As soon as my apartment is larger than a walk in closet =)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All over the place! Both surfing and hosting. Always amazing!
I love getting to see a place from the perspective of someone who lives there instead of just that of the travel guide. Seeing people's enthusiasm for their own city makes it all the more special.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a hard one.... there are so many. I would have to say that one of my favourite movies is Once, but I guiltily also enjoy any movie involving dancing (Step Up, Step up 2 the Streets haha), maybe because I have no moves myself...
Music wise, there are many awesome Canadian bands/singers that I am getting to know. I especially like Great Lake Swimmers, Matt Costa and Hawksley Workman. But if it's time to dance... anything catchy will do =).
As for books, I recently bought an e-reader for my commute and have been making my way through the classics on Project Gutenberg (Robinson Crusoe, Dracula, Sherlock Holmes, Great Expectations, Wind in the Willows, The Call of the Wild). Still tonnes to go!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to pet a dik dik in Kenya, doesn't sound super exciting but those little animals are possibly the cutest things I've ever seen!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Cambodia, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Netherlands, Peru, Qatar, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, France, United Kingdom
