About Me

For the past three years I have been travelling and volunteering in the Middle East, South America, Asia and Europe. I packed up my stuff, sublet my apartment and I have never been happier. I like to stay 3-5 months in each country to get to know the culture and people. For me people are more important than places, so I would rather meet people than see all the natural wonders of the Earth.

Travelling is a great way to practice trust in the Universe. I have three mottos: First, everthing is like it is supposed to be, so even if things don't work out the way I planned it is fine, because the Universe knows better than me what is best for my purpose in life. Second, I will get all the help I need. Third, everything will turn out for the best.
It has been amazing to see how help always comes our way when we need it and it is great to always feel protected.

The experiences I have encountered on my journeys are precious. Everywhere I have found amazing people who want nothing more than peace and love. I have done various volunteering such as picking olives in Jordan, working with tourists in Wadi Rum, walking a dog in Istanbul, minding cats, teaching English in Argentina, teaching yoga in Germany, gong healing and much more.
I wrote and published six books, four in Icelandic and two in English. They are about personal and spiritual development, plus a novel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to meet people. I would be so lonely staying alone in a hotel. Plus meeting locals is thousand times more interesting than being a tourist and just visiting the sites. There are so many fabulous people on couchsurfing, people with ideals and visions, great talents and who think differently, people who are not afraid of strangers but embrace the opportunity to meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Heal yourself to happiness - minding your emotions, of course, by myself ;) Available on Amazon.

No seriously I have read so much that I can't possible name my favourite book. I like romantic films or films about positivity and happiness, not murder and evil.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ran for president in Iceland (it's not a political position)
