Hillary: I work for an insurance adjusting company. I work very hard in our busy season, but since we do not handle winter weather claims I am off work from October to February. This has provided the amazing opportunity to spend the season traveling. This Asia trip is my first out of my home country, and I hope to have many more!

Courtney: I like to think of myself as a pretty easy going and laid back person. I've worked in Disability care (residential services, supported living) for the past 7 years and thoroughly enjoy it. In my down time I like being out in nature, getting some fresh air and vitamin D. I love taking my dog to the lake back home, on some hiking trails, or on a leisurely drive in my Jeep. I love dabbling in photography, cooking, and have recently started a travel blog.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are currently on a six month trip through Asia! We love new experiences, new people, and saving money while traveling. We love Couchsurfing because it enriches the entire experience everywhere we travel. Staying with a local provides the opportunity to truly experience the culture and daily life of each unique area.

Interests

We love new adventures, experiencing different cultures, building relationships, and making new friends all over the world! At home, we enjoy spending time with family, visiting the lake, Netflix nights, comedy clubs, and live music. Music - we enjoy so many different genres and are ALWAYS looking for something new! Our current favorites are Ray Lamontagne, The Tallest Man on Earth, City and Colour, Angus and Julia Stone, Young the Giant, Iron & Wine, The Avett Brothers. We also love the 70's and 90's, namely Led Zeppelin, Queen, Sublime, and Blind Melon.
