My name is Hillary, I am from Upstate New York in the USA, but am currently living in Guangzhou, China. I am here for one year teaching English to kids & teens. I spent two years volunteering with AmeriCorps before coming to China, one year in New Orleans, LA and one year in Baltimore, MD. I came to China looking for adventure and to experience a culture wildly different than my own.

I came to this side of the world based on a desperate need to travel and see more of the world. I want to travel and meet new and interesting people.

Interests

I am a huge fan of Netflix binges, I love spending time with my friends, reading and painting. I do enjoying going out and drinking but I can also appreciate a quiet night in. I am a pescatarian but I love to eat and try new foods. (I have become quite adventurous since arriving in the far east).

Music, Movies, and Books

I could never choose a favorite movie, watching movies is like a hobby for me but I love Horror movies, Disney movies, and Studio Ghibli movies.

I am very open to music, and my taste is varied I love Taylor Swift, but I also like hard rock, metal and 80's hair metal.

I am willing to try and read almost anything, but I tend to prefer fantasy novels.
