I moved to Columbus three years ago for law school during a career change. I've discovered some great places in the area (roller skating club for adults, metro parks, jazz clubs), and some fantastic food and theater!
Here's a little about me:

- I have lived in OH, CA, IL, NY
- Growing up I wanted to be a cowboy, a novelist, a farmer, an archaeologist, a geologist, a lawyer, and there will be more I'm sure!
- I love to dance, watch soccer, go on hikes in meadows or the mountains
- I enjoy a good gin or tequila cocktail or a glass of red wine

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My place is very small, so an air mattress on the living room floor is all I can offer but come visit and let me show you around! I love the Couchsurfing community and the potential to really enhance someone's travel experience. Meeting locals is always one of my favorite parts of exploring a new place and I've loved meeting up with people from Couchsurfing in my own travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

My tastes are pretty varied, like most people, it's harder to name what I don't like than what I do.

Lately, I've been reading a lot of nonfiction, but my favorite books tend to be novels. Don Quixote, Anne of Green Gables series, Game of Thrones series. A number of books from my childhood also make the cut: Heckedy Peg, Who's Got the Apple, Francis, The Woman in the Moon.

I love to dance so I'm into anything with a great beat. Bhangra, Reggaeton, Top40, Banda. On a daily basis I'm more likely to listen to something more calming, like Ryan Bingham, Cat Stevens, Paul Simon, Ella Fitzgerald. I also love musicals!

I enjoy most films but my favorites include classic musicals, thrillers, foreign films (particularly Indian, Iranian, Korean, Japanese), romantic comedies, and gangster films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A friend and I drove from CA to OH. We stopped at 7 national parks along the way, went to a rodeo, rode horses all day with a cowboy in the mountains of WY and picked up a traveling Australian for the first half of the trip!

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach you how to make some of my favorite dishes (lentil soup, saffron risotto, turmeric milk tea) or we could learn to make a new dish together, I love to cook! I am always up to learn something/anything new and I'd love to share with you whatever I can!
