CURRENT MISSION

As a recent college graduate, I am taking advantage of my summer of unemployment by traveling through France and Spain before diving into a Spanish teaching position in the fall.

ABOUT ME

I am very excited about life and try to make the most of every moment! I adore meeting people of all different backgrounds and beliefs- I love having conversations that challenge my opinions and expand my perspective! I dabble in lots of different activities - recently I've been interested in yoga and aerials, but in general I love all outdoor activities - hiking, climbing, mountaineering, sea kayaking, biking, etc. Before I die, I plan on kayaking the Inside Passage, hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and biking across the United States. I'm excited to meet new people through CS!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CouchSurfing but have been meaning to join for a long time, as I have gotten rave reviews about it from friends. I hosted two fisherman from Alaska at my home in Bellingham, but other than that I'm a newbie!

Interests

I love outdoor recreation! Hiking, camping, backpacking, cross-country skiing, biking, mountaineering, rock climbing, you name it - if I haven't done it, I probably would looove to try it! I also enjoy dancing, singing, musical theater, playing the violin, reading (esp. Barbara Kingsolver books!), horseback riding, learning about different cultures, foreign languages and linguistics in general, going to concerts and shows.... my problem in life is that I have too many interests and I can't narrow them down!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just did the Tour de Mont Blanc, which is a 165 km trek around the tallest peak in Western Europe, in 11 days!

Climbing to the top of Cathedral Peak in Yosemite, like John Muir, was the first time I had ever been to church in California!
