Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
sleep in new cities, eat from different markets, dance with new friends
ABOUT ME
Food, friends and family, honest music and good books are what I value most. Cooking with good people, biking in the city, thrifting for sparkly stuff and dancing with myself are my favorite things to do. I work for a non-profit. I am a burlesque dancer. I am interested in meeting people I can learn from (everyone), doing things I haven't done before and generally collecting as much knowledge (theoretical and experiential) as I can at all times. Also, I have a very fancy little cat.
PHILOSOPHY
Stop trying to figure out the right answer because there probably isn't one. Be as happy as possible as often as possible and embrace the challenges of life as well as their rewards.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I live in a great city in a nice house with a couple of couches and a few roommates who are down to host good people. Also, I will be embarking on a two month tour across most of America in Fall '11 and would like to meet some good people with friendly couches along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Scifi (classic and cheesy), Hitchcock, Nouvelle Vague, Documentaries, classic American romances
Music: loretta, dolly, patsy and wanda, psychobilly, riot grrrl, soul, tropicália, bounce
Books: I will voraciously consume almost any book I can get my hands on. In particular, I enjoy the poetry of Tennesee Williams, David Berman, Catullus and Charles Bukowski; the fiction of Margaret Atwood, Thomas Pynchon, Kurt Vonnegut, Joyce Carol Oats; the nonfiction of Susan Sontag, Eula Biss and David Foster Wallace, also, well done graphic novels and almost any collection of short stories
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I danced on the sand of the Mississippi.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Latin translation and some ancient history and burlesque movement and costuming.
I want to learn everything.
