ABOUT ME
My name is Hari. I retired as a Brigadier from the Indian army in 1997. Retirement granted me the opportunity to return to the land of my forefathers, the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand where I currently reside. I finally found the time to engage with my lifelong interests of alternative medicine through homeopathy and foods that heal.
I am now scaling up my work and setting up a farm center in the lower Himalayas at an altitude of 1319 meters (4353 feet). I dream of making this center a model farming community â showcasing sustainable organic agriculture and horticulture techniques to the local community.
This organic paradise is open to all fellow dreamers to come and share their learningâs and learn from each other, to nourish the mother earth from all corners of the globe.
PHILOSOPHY
My Philosophy of life:
* Be a blessing to other human beings by your actions, words and thoughts. Spread light in the lives of other people, not darkness.
* Be the master of your life. Be confident & fearless. Live with honor.
* Whatever happens in life, face it bravely and come out as a winner.
* Make changes in life when it is necessary. Because, good & bad exists in this beautiful world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My wife Kum Kum and I welcome travelers from all corners of the world to our home and into our project. We focus all of our energies in our dream, and in inspiring and connecting rural and urban people to know the source of their food and to work together to bring greater health; to take food from seed to table or farm to fork.

I recently discovered couchsurfing from 2 friends of mine (they went from being volunteers to friends to now family, Keveen Gabet (Korakor) & Gina Solorzano). Officially I suppose they would be my first surfers and boy did they set the bar high! They have been followed up with a handful more and I can only say that technology is amazing at making connections and opening doors...and THANK YOU CS for helping make it happen!
