About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current objective is to have my projected self eclipse myself more often.

ABOUT ME

I'm a recovering introvert. I love intentionally misinterpreting things people say to recontextualize sentences or conversations, though typically I give no evidence that I knew the intended meaning so people who only talk to me for a short time think I'm a moron. For instance, a man at my work was talking about moving drums. A woman asked him, "How much stuff will you have to carry?" He responded, "Three trips." It is obvious he meant three trips-worth of stuff, but another interpretation of what he said could be that trip is an actual thing that you can pick up. I can't really conceive how you would do that so I said, "How do you carry a trip?" He then looked at me like I was somewhat stupid and then looked at my supervisor who laughed. Throughout the night I did small things when he was around to facilitate his belief in my idiocy, like trip up the stairs a couple times and offer him a cough drop when I overheard him talking about Kafka.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed my friend Doug's couch for two weeks when I was thrown out when I was 17. Then I surfed my sister's couch until she threw me out, then I surfed my friend Casey's couch for 8 months. I keep coming back to him, as I have surfed his couch four times after that. I surfed couches all over Japan as I was traveling around going to concerts, which was probably the highlight of my life in some manner of speaking.

Interests

My immediate interests include; different types of gaming (everything from Magic and Warhammer, Guitar Hero/Rock Band, Kickball and Bond), listening to musics (Japanese Post Rock and Hardcore, Mylie Cyrus), and drinking Kombucha. I am also currently trying to trick people into thinking I can play guitar at the behest of a friend named Yama. I fell in love with and played the harp for a short stint as well but the relationship proved to be to expensive. Interesting things I do off and on are cliff diving, fencing, skydiving, skiing, freestyle walking, and sexual intercourse.
