About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travelling, getting to know people from other cultures and ways of life.

ABOUT ME

A born anthropologist. Immensely curious about other cultures and ways of life. Love interacting with, and living among people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Interpreter and translator by profession.
Recently traveled and lived in East Africa for a couple of years (eight countries altogether); a combination of travelling and community work (my preferred mode of visiting places and interacting with people).
Very flexible and adaptable; all I need is a place where I can spread my sleeping bag and.... someone I can share my experiences with ( in case they are interested in hearing about it...)
Last but not least.....In spite of my "ripe" age ( older than most CS memmbers ) I am VERY youthful , full of life and very open minded. Reflective of my temperament is the fact that most of my friends are much younger than myself.
PHiLOSOPHY
"Be the change you want to see in this world"- Gandhi
But...first get to know it better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By accepting guests and treating them very well. As for myself,
if.... accepted as a guest - by contributing with something of value within my capacities and resources. Such as, preparing a good meal (anything ethnic) or any interpreting / translating.

Currently NOT accepting guests, as I am traveling in Europe for a while. Will be accepting guests again, upon my return, in the fall.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much through the official site; mostly independently on my own.

Interests

Traveling, reading, cinema (love documentaries), cooking specially - ethnic dishes.

Teach, Learn, Share

Interpreting, translating, cooking (ethnic specialities).

What I Can Share with Hosts

My stories, my adventures, my language skills, my cooking skills, any assistance within my capacities and resources. Happily willing to reciprocate by offering a place to stay in Montreal; possibly in Toronto as well.
