Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have decided to travel as we go and have booked next to nothing in advance. Couch surfing is a great way to meet local people and gain an insight on their lives and way of living. Of course we are also on a budget so this is the perfect way to meet people and also save some money. When we have to, we will stay at air bnbs or hostels but ideally we would love to couch surf and stay with friends!

I can share my culture with you! Trent and I are both Maori (indigenous people of New Zealand). Happy to help with your English if you are still learning and share our travel experiences so far. Trent is a keen diver and has his open water dive certificate and hopes to advance further in this field.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook! (Seriously tell me if you want me to cook you dinner and I will happily whip something up - think
of it as an exchange gift for hosting us 😜). But don't expect me to cook without asking because I don't like to make assumptions haha!

We speak great English if you are learning and are both indigenous to NZ so happy to share our culture with you!

We can share our travel experiences so far - 25 countries and counting.

Trent is a semi professional rugby player so if your interested in that I'm sure he can share some of his skills!

As a guest we don't expect much other than a bed/couch (and sometimes a towel if that's ok).

If you want to hang and socialize that's cool and if you wanna be left alone, that's also cool. We are a respectable couple and are always clean and tidy. We both enjoy going out and enjoying the nightlife but are equally happy spending our time walking through cities and discovering what places have to offer. If you take us out on the town, be prepared to get crazy because we have a history of memorable nights that turn into mornings 🍾
