📝 Note: I'm new to Couchsurfing.

General vibe:
• I'm trusting, empathetic, open-minded, conscientious, fun, thoughtful, caring, and funny (or so they tell me).
• Sometimes I plan, sometimes I just go with the flow. It depends on the situation. For example: I'm a bit of a workaholic, so sometimes I _need_ plans in order to force my mind to disconnect from work. (My ambition's always at war with my complacence.)
• Love sports and staying active. There's no sport I won't play, regardless of whether it's a team sport or individual sport.
• I love animals. All of them. If money was no object, I'd open animal sanctuaries all over the world and work to protect life on earth.
• I'm a vegetarian. The only animal product I consume is eggs, though I do make sure to source them from ethical, responsible, humane farms. It's difficult, but it's worth it.
• I don't use Facebook products, so I don't have WhatsApp, Facebook, or Instagram. I really don't communicate outside of Signal.
• I have a love-hate relationship with tech. It can be so good, but also so bad.
• You do you. I'll never tell you how to live your life. As long as it doesn't negatively affect other people, do ya thing.

🟩 Here's what I consider green flags in others:
• Is thoughtful, mindful, and self-aware.
• Understands that tech is a double-edged sword.
• Enjoys sports.
• Likes animals.
• Is clear, direct, and honest in their communication.
• Understands the difference between fact and opinion.
• Understands nuance and how some things are black, some things are white, and others are grey.
• Wants to leave the world a better place.

🚩 Here's what I consider red flags in others:
• Celebrity worship.
• Not caring about the environment, animals, and other life.
• "I don't care about privacy because I have nothing to hide."
• Close-mindedness.
• Forcefully imposing beliefs on others.

💬 Review by a friend:
"He's good at everything. I hate it."
Obviously I can't be good at _everything_, but I _do_ do (and try) to do a lot of different things. This is my friend's way of saying, "He's great, you can do pretty much anything with him."
