About Me

Hey, I'm Hiroki!

For 3 years I've lived in Shibuya the culturally vibrant side of Tokyo. To be more precise, I lived in Daikan-Yama the art district where there are galleries everywhere . So if you love art, you’re gonna have a wonderful time here. If you love music btw, there are many music venues like clubs, music bars, and niche DJ bars where they play very interesting music.

June/2024 Edit: I'm moving out of my home in Shibuya and before I settle in my next home (possibly in Thailand), I'm going on a trip to Europe, the U.S. (and Hawaii), then back to Tokyo!

I myself absolutely love art and work in the music industry. I also love listening to interesting stories which is why I started CS and I I would love to hear yours! I'm fluent in English and Japanese but whatever language you speak, I’m sure we can work it out :)

I've made lifelong friends from all over the world thanks to this app, and got to share some amazing moments, having super deep conversations about life, art, friendship, culture, philosophy, (everything really) while bringing you guys to my fav spots around Shibuya!!! Some of my guests told me they loved the experience so much that I had set the bar!! (thank u)

I looove detailed messages! Tell me what caught your eye in my profile, some common interests we share, or what kind of stuff you would like to do here in Tokyo! I’m hosting people who I find interesting so give me your best shot :)

I'm a big sports guy too. Biking to the mountains, swimming, working out, jujitsu, anything I mean I just love to move my body and I really like to take care of my body. Some other stuff I like to do: photography, cycling, reading. Let me tell you, I have a wide range of interests and if you have a thing not in this list, chances are, I'm more interested!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Throughout my life I've lived in seven countries: Australia Singapore Malaysia Dubai Pakistan Canada and Japan.

Music, Movies, and Books

Although my primary interest is in music, it is so difficult to just write out what my favorite music is cause there's too many. Well, I can tell you my favorite book though.

I love meditations by Marcus Aurelius. It's basically my Bible and I (used to) carried it around (before I got a e-reader. Yep, those are hella convenient). I read a lot. OK, maybe not a lot but I would love to read a lot :)

Let's talk about movies for a second. OK. My favorite movies are cyber punk themed stuff like ghost in the Shell, blade runner which I somehow always fall asleep during…, and I just can't leave out Goodfellas. Holy moly. That movie is hilarious as F.

What I Can Share with Hosts

June/2024 Edit: I'm moving out of my home in Shibuya and before I settle in my next home (possibly in Thailand)

First of all, my house is between a business hotel and a share house. Pretty difficult to explain but, my room, the shower, the toilet is all mine, but the kitchen which nobody uses… Is sharing style. it’s a really quiet place :-)

I have a mattress here which you can sleep on or the couch which is not too big so if you're tall not sure if you're gonna fit on there. Probably not… But if you’re OK with the mattress, which is separate from mine of course, I would love to welcome you!

I must say that I'm only going to except one person because my room is not humongous, sadly… well it is pretty small and cozy. Well, if you're one person I think you will be comfortable. Or I'll try my best to make you feel comfortable :)
