CURRENT MISSION
Planning to conquer the world on a Honda C90...
ABOUT ME
I'm 23, brown hair, dark brown eyes, about 6' tall, slim/average build, easy going, like a drink and a laugh with friends new or old, enjoy sports (squash, badminton, bikes, and I used to be a pretty good waterskier) music, books, travel. Plus I'm into cars: I've built two (a Lotus 7 then a Ford Pop hotrod) just sold a Lotus Elise and now have a mark 2 VW Golf.
I have been accused of being a bit of a geek...
PHILOSOPHY
I like quotes; they seem to say so much more and sum things up better than I could in a section like this!
"It's all about the wind in your hair and the thrill of the ride".
"Dream like you'll live forever, live like you'll die today".
"What is the feeling when you're driving away from people, and they recede on the plain till you see their specks dispersing? It's the too huge world vaulting us, and it's good-bye. But we lean forward to the next crazy venture beneath the skies."
“My fault, my failure, is not in the passions I have, but in my lack of control of them.”

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My time spent in the U.S. Not done through this site but should have been! It's too much to tell in this little box, but I had the most amazing, drunk, sobering, random time: the people I met (all friends-of-a-friend) the places I went (Boston, NYC (ground zero was the sobering part of the trip), bars in Manhattan, a Red Sox game, Worcester to name a few) the laughs I had... I could go on. The thing is, it was all basically done on Facebook. I'd met one of the people I stayed with ONE night in England. Three weeks later I'm there and having the time of my life!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Just one?! Ok, this was good... One of my last nights in Spain: boardshorts on, top off, driving as far up into the twisting southern Spanish mountains through olive groves and avacados in a little hire car that I just didn't think was going to make it, then as the road petered out to flat at the top of the mountain, stopping the car, cracking a cold beer and watching the biggest, most beautiful deep orange and red Mediterranean sunset with the girl I loved.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Ask and ask nicely, it never ceases to amaze me how far politeness gets you.
Take up people's offers. Some of the best times of my life have come from following up on offers that other people thought I'd never follow up and vice versa.
'When in Rome...' Make an effort - one of my pet hates is steriotypically English tourists who think speaking louder and slower breaks all language barriers.
