ABOUT ME

Harun Kaban is a writer and blogger based in Turkey.

He is General Director of Liberal Dusunce (in English Liberal Thought is a quarterly journal, published in Turkey) and HurFikirler.com (is an op-ed website in Turkish and English).

He is working for NES-G (located in Tbilisi, Georgia) as a researcher focusing on development of ecenomic relationships between Turkey and Georgia. He is working on a project aiming comparison of the candidateship process of EU membership of Turkey and Georgia.

He is running his own blog and also blogging at HurFikirler.com. His articles are occasionally published on Turkish daily newspapers such as Zaman, Taraf and Yeni Şafak.

He worked for ALT (is an NGO located in Ankara, Turkey) for three years as a program asistant and one year as representive of ALT in Istanbul Office. Also he worked for Liberte Publications as an editor for two years.

He has a book which is named as “On a city… Kangal”. It is about his hometown, a district of Sivas (a city central part of Turkey). Moreover he directed a short documantary which had the same name as book.
