About Me

NEWS: Can offer a bed/couch, starting from the 15th October.

Some random fun facts about me:

- I was once the second place in a martial arts tournament in my county. There were only two contenders though.
- My Burgers/Pizza/Pasta/Sandwiches made people quit eating food somewhere else. Now they would pay me, but I don't accept any money (yet).
- I've signed up to be the student-homing tutor for a house with 550 people in it. There have been six tutors the last time around; I am the only one now.

Besides that, I am quite the personality, but there hasn't been a person (yet), who was dissatisfied with my hosting-abilities. I mean, hey, would you rather get told twenty random stories with no connection to them or have somebody sit silently in the room with you? (and before you ask, yes, I live on my own)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I often have nothing to do in my evenings and even so, I have a couch that is pretty much just standing around since I've bought it. And I also tend too cook way too much, so yeah. Solving two problems with one solution, I guess.

Interests

I've watched over 1000 movies. Nobody knows why, but if I ever randomly spurt out a movie quote, you know why. I also have a home theatre system.
I've been kicked out of my Art History class in University, but that has not taken away my love for the fine arts. I still hate modern art though.
I cook dishes, that probably still won't satisfy Gordon Ramsey, but at least I put my soul (and a lot of spices) in it.
I love me some good design and you'll probably figure that out, once you enter my place. If I had to describe it - bizarre, retro, somehow still extremely modern and comfy as hell.
I love good stories too - so if you ever want to tell yours, feel free to do so. I'd love to think, that I can tell more stories than the books on my shelves can do, but that may be a lie, you have to find that out for yourself.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is crazy. I am somewhere between Rap, R&B, Rock, Metal, ???-Music and strangely enough, I also enjoy listening to movie soundtracks and orthodox chants.

Heck. If I list you all of my 10/10 movies, we're gonna be here till the morning. Feel free to follow me on letterboxd though. My name there is "Mertologie".

I love the hell out of Chuck Palahniuk right now. He is the only author that I am able to read currently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Way too many.

Teach, Learn, Share

(I don't even know what to put here, somebody tell me what to doooo)

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can watch a ton of movies.
We can just chill and cook some great food with a glass (or bottle) of wine.
We can also see, which one of us gets devastated in chess. I'm also down for karaoke.

In the end, everything goes, as long as it is in the do-able terms.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Croatia, Greece, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Germany, Turkey
